By registering for or participating in any class, workshop, event, private lesson, party, or open studio session at Olas Ceramics, LLC, you acknowledge and agree to the following Terms, Conditions, and Liability Waiver:

1. Assumption of Risk & Release of Liability

Participation in ceramic and studio-related activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to cuts, burns, exposure to hot kilns, tools, equipment, slips, falls, allergic reactions, repetitive motion injuries, and property damage.

You voluntarily and knowingly assume all risks, whether known or unknown, foreseeable or unforeseeable, associated with participation. To the fullest extent permitted by California law, you release, waive, and discharge Olas Ceramics, LLC, its owners, officers, employees, instructors, contractors, volunteers, and agents from any and all claims, liabilities, demands, damages, or causes of action arising out of or related to participation, including claims arising from ordinary negligence.

2. No Duty to Instruct, Supervise, or Enforce

You acknowledge and agree that Olas Ceramics has no obligation to instruct, supervise, monitor, control, or enforce safety practices, conduct, or the use of equipment or protective gear. You are solely responsible for your own actions, decisions, and participation while on the premises or attending any Studio-related activity.

3. Personal Responsibility for Health & Safety

You acknowledge that ceramic materials, dust, glazes, tools, equipment, and studio conditions may pose health or safety risks. You are solely responsible for assessing your own health, physical condition, limitations, and risk tolerance, and for determining whether to participate and whether to use any personal protective equipment, including but not limited to masks, gloves, or protective clothing.

Olas Ceramics does not provide medical, health, or safety advice. You participate entirely at your own risk.

4. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Olas Ceramics from any and all claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your participation, conduct, or violation of these Terms.

5. Photography & Media Release

You grant Olas Ceramics the irrevocable right to photograph, video record, and otherwise capture your likeness and your work for use in marketing, advertising, social media, website content, and promotional materials, without compensation or ownership rights. If you do not wish to be photographed, you must notify the Studio in writing prior to participation.

6. No Guarantee of Finished Work

Ceramics is a multi-step process involving drying, firing, and glazing, each of which carries inherent risk. Cracking, warping, glaze variation, or breakage may occur. Olas Ceramics makes no guarantees regarding finished pieces and is not responsible for loss or damage at any stage of the process.

7. Emergency Medical Consent

In the event of an emergency, you authorize Olas Ceramics to seek medical treatment on your behalf. You agree that Olas Ceramics has no duty to assess or monitor your medical condition and that you are solely responsible for all medical costs incurred.

8. Children & Minors

Participants under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian agree to these Terms on their behalf. Parents and guardians acknowledge and accept full responsibility for the supervision, conduct, and safety of minors at all times.

9. Personal Property

Olas Ceramics is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings brought onto the premises.

10. Payment, Cancellation & Refund Policy

All classes, workshops, events, and studio sessions must be paid in full at the time of booking.

Cancellations or rescheduling must be made at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled start time to be eligible for a credit or reschedule, subject to availability.

Late cancellations, no-shows, or failure to follow the stated cancellation process are non-refundable.

All fees are non-refundable, except as required by California law.

Olas Ceramics reserves the right to cancel or reschedule sessions at its discretion. In such cases, a credit or reschedule will be offered.

11. Studio Conduct

You are solely responsible for your behavior while participating. Olas Ceramics reserves the right to deny participation or remove any individual whose conduct is deemed unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate, without refund.

12. Force Majeure

Olas Ceramics shall not be liable for cancellations, delays, or interruptions caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, power outages, government orders, or emergencies.

13. Governing Law & Venue

This Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of California. Any legal action arising from this Agreement shall be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction within California.

14. Severability

If any provision of this Agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

15. Acknowledgment & AgreementBy checking the box or completing a booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and voluntarily agree to these Terms, including the assumption of risk, release of liability, and waiver of legal rights.
